Here was a 3rd Proportion study of the night. It was like a 35min study. The proportions were off so I decided to use the last one for our critique and just have fun with this one since the Foreshortening was tough on this and threw the proportions off (the model's hips weren't nearly that wide).

Here was the final study of the night. It was about 20min graphite on 80# paper.

Last nihgt we began studying proportion.

We started focusing on composition. This is a study of different compositions using thumbnail sketches to work out ideas.

This was an excerise in composition. We had to do 5 thumbnails then pick one aand make a drawing of it in about 15 minutes. Charcoal. 

This was a continuous motion series. Each pose was about 1-2 min. Conte on paper. 

This was a 20 min sketch. Charcoal and graphite on paper. We didn't have a model last night so we drew the teacher. 

Here was from last night's class. This is my page of warm ups. I was pretty happy with it even though it's just gestures. 

OK, the Roman homework was a hit. I think everbody got a laugh. My only regret is that I didn't have time to add someone feeding me grapes.......... 

Here's a modified contour drawing that is homework for tonite's class. It was supposed to be a self portrait in the mirror with all the environment around. I got a little bored and embellished a few things..........

Here was a modified contour drawing from life drawing class. I love doing these. Just a 5 min drawing with marker on 80lb paper but very fun stuff. 

Here was another contour drawing except modified meaning you were allowed to look at your paper once in a while to adjust but basically draw without seeing your paper.
