Good Morning! Well, here's the beginning of the first assignment of the new semester. It's a study of perspective. The cone is in perspective as well as the shadows which is a change from the perspective study that I did last class. This is going to get transferred to Canson Mi-Tientes paper then sketched out using black and white charcoal. 

I finally put a little (very little) more time into this one. It still needs a lot of work. 

The new semester has started!

I signed up for the next drawing class at Palomar college. Drawing 2. It's the same teacher that I had last semester. She was pretty good. If you're looking into drawing classes at Palomar, look for Diane Morris. She's a pretty damn good art teacher. I think she also teaches at other community colleges in San Diego too. Anyways, I'm back into learning more about art and drawing. I'll post pics like before as anything interesting comes up as well as stuff I'm working on fo rmyself. I haven't really touched the blue horses in a few weeks but I promised myself I would very soon. My job got incredibly busy over the last 2 weeks and I've had some very not fun family / personal shit to deal with thats been taking a lot of energy and time but I think I'll be back doing art very shortly.

And this one was a 50 minute pose. It didnt come out half as cool as I was hoping for. It was chalk on Strathmore charcoal paper. The others were Charcoal on Newsprint.

Howdy, the next 4 pics are from life drawing at SDAI's session last nite. www.sandiego-art.org This was a lot tougher than the ones I've done before, These poses were 1min and 2 minute poses. I've never done this speed gesture drawing before so it was a challenge.
